Registered Nurse (RN) Women's Services (L&D, Postpartum, Nursery) - Travel Position  
Location: Lander, WY 
Job Type: Travel Contract   
Duration: 13 weeks  
Shift: 3x12s Nights
Pay: $2674.80/week  
Completion Bonus: Up to $7,500 total. (You will receive $2,500 after the successful completion of each of your first 3 contracts with us)

Job Description:  

We are seeking a highly experienced and comprehensively certified Registered Nurse (RN) for Women's Services. This demanding role requires a versatile clinician proficient across the full spectrum of maternal and newborn care, including Labor & Delivery (L&D), Postpartum, Nursery (Level I), Antepartum, Triage, and surgical assistance during C-Sections. The nurse is responsible for all aspects of patient assessment, intervention, education, and collaboration with the interdisciplinary team in this high-risk area.

Key Responsibilities:  

  • Perform plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, and clinical treatments.
  • Appropriately assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care across the Women's Services continuum (L&D, Antepartum, Postpartum, Nursery).
  • Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate to the care team, physician, patient, and family.
  • Evaluate learning needs of patient and/or family and provide comprehensive education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
  • Circulate during C-Sections, attending deliveries and assisting the physician as needed. Follow appropriate policies during the recovery and care of surgical patients.
  • Attend the neonatal station in the C-Section suite and completely assess the neonate post-delivery.
  • Collaborate across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral, and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
  • Work as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.

Qualifications:  

  • Active RN license in Wyoming or a compact license.
  • Must have 2 years recent RN experience covering the following specialties:
    • Level 1 Nursery
    • Postpartum
    • OB/GYN (post-op hysterectomy)
    • L&D/LDRP (including Antepartum care and Triage care)
  • Certifications (Must be AHA and attached to submission):
    • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
    • BLS (Basic Life Support)
    • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
    • STABLE (Neonatal Education Program)
    • AWHONN (Association of Women's Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses)
  • COVID vaccine and recent TB test may be required.
