Pay: $2,209.32/week (plus $2,500 completion bonus per contract, up to $7,500 after three contracts)

 

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Medical-Surgical/Telemetry (MS/Tele) Registered Nurse (RN) to join for a 13-week travel assignment. This unit specializes in cardiac care, including patients post-PCI, pacemakers, AICDs, post-MI, and those receiving complex cardiac pharmacologic interventions. The ideal candidate is skilled in cardiac monitoring, emergency response, and advanced patient care interventions, and is proficient in EPIC charting.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct nursing care to adult patients on MS/Tele cardiac units (26 beds).

  • Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms; manage dysrhythmias.

  • Respond to emergencies using Rapid Response and Code teams.

  • Administer medications, IV therapy, and perform phlebotomy; manage peripheral lines.

  • Deliver respiratory support: nasal cannula, oxygen masks, portable oxygen, non-invasive airway management.

  • Implement isolation precautions and maintain infection control standards.

  • Float as required to meet unit staffing needs.

  • Document all care in EPIC accurately and timely.

  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop individualized care plans.

 

Qualifications

  • Active New York RN license in hand (no exceptions).

  • Minimum 1 year of MS/Tele experience in an acute care setting.

  • BLS and ACLS certifications required.

  • EPIC charting experience required.

  • Patient ratio experience: 1:5 or 1:7.

  • Must live more than 75 miles from the facility (locals not accepted).

  • First-time travelers accepted.

  • Cannot have RTO between 12/24–12/28.

  • COVID-19 vaccine not required; flu vaccine status unknown.
