Pay: $2,415.60/week (plus $2,500 completion bonus per contract, up to $7,500 after three contracts)

Job Description

The Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) provides comprehensive nursing care for patients of all ages, responding quickly and effectively to emergency medical situations. This position requires a strong clinical background, excellent critical thinking skills, and experience in high-acuity emergency settings. The RN utilizes the nursing process in accordance with state Nurse Practice Acts and facility policy to ensure safe, effective, and compassionate patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver evidence-based emergency nursing care to patients of all ages in a fast-paced ER environment.

• Perform rapid assessment and prioritization of patient needs.

• Administer medications, manage drips, and titrate according to protocols.

• Respond to emergency situations and manage ventilated patients.

• Serve as a charge nurse or preceptor as needed.

• Collaborate with physicians, multidisciplinary staff, and ancillary teams to stabilize patient conditions.

• Maintain clinical competencies through ongoing education.

• Document all patient care and interventions accurately in MedHost EMR.

Requirements

• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and TNCC (required)

• Experience: Minimum 1+ year of Emergency Department RN experience in a hospital setting

• Travel: At least 2 previously completed travel assignments required

• Licensure: Active RN license in the state of Missouri or compact state

• Skills: Strong emergency nursing background with drip titration and vent management experience

• Preferred: Preceptor or charge nurse experience
