Schedule: 3x12 Nights
Pay: $2,185.20/week (plus $2,500 completion bonus per contract, up to $7,500 after three contracts)

Job Description

The Telemetry RN provides comprehensive patient care to adult populations across multiple Telemetry and Med-Surg units. This role requires advanced cardiac monitoring, medication titration, and the ability to float across various units and campuses. The nurse must be able to adapt to changing environments while maintaining high standards of safety, accuracy, and compassion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor, interpret, and respond to cardiac rhythms and telemetry readings.
  • Administer and titrate cardiac drips including Amiodarone, Cardene, Nitro, Heparin, and Dobutamine (titrate down only).
  • Perform thorough patient assessments, manage post-cath and neuro-surgical cases, and develop individualized care plans.
  • Provide care for patients recovering from vascular procedures, CABG (Day 2+), orthopedic, and oncology surgeries.
  • Float between Telemetry, Neuro Tele, and Med-Surg units as required — including cross-campus coverage with advance notice.
  • Collaborate with charge nurses, hospitalists, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe and efficient care.
  • Document accurately in the Cerner EMR and follow unit-specific protocols and workflows.
  • Participate in orientation, simulation, and skills verification prior to independent practice.

Qualifications

  • Active RN license (compact or state-specific).
  • Minimum of 2 years of recent Telemetry or Med-Surg experience.
  • BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS required.
  • Must be able to successfully complete a dysrhythmia exam and simulation lab prior to starting.
  • Strong proficiency in cardiac rhythm interpretation and medication titration.
  • Flexibility to float between Telemetry and Med-Surg units and between campuses as needed.
  • Must be able to work weekends and two of three major holidays.
  • Navy scrubs required.
  • Proof of COVID-19 vaccination and recent tuberculosis test required.
