Pay: $2,199.60/week (plus $2,500 completion bonus per contract, up to $7,500 after three contracts)

Job Description

ATC Healthcare is seeking a highly skilled and adaptable Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week travel assignment in Denver, Colorado. The RN will provide exceptional care to patients during all phases of labor, delivery, recovery, and antepartum care in a busy, high-acuity setting.

This facility features 12 labor and delivery rooms, 8 triage beds, and 11 antepartum rooms, serving a diverse patient population, including high-risk obstetrics. The ideal candidate is a team-oriented professional with strong clinical judgment, the ability to circulate in the OR, and proficiency in fetal monitoring systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive nursing care for patients during all stages of labor, delivery, recovery, and antepartum observation.
  • Monitor and assess maternal and fetal conditions using GE fetal monitoring and Centricity systems.
  • Circulate in the operating room for C-sections, D&Cs, postpartum tubal ligations, cerclage placements, and versions.
  • Administer medications, fluids, and epidural infusions as ordered by providers.
  • Collaborate closely with physicians, midwives, and support staff to ensure safe, coordinated patient care.
  • Provide immediate postpartum and newborn stabilization as needed.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation using the Meditech EMR system.
  • Educate patients and families on the labor process, pain management options, and postpartum care.
  • Participate actively in emergency response situations, including obstetric hemorrhage and fetal distress.
  • Adhere to infection control, patient safety, and unit protocols.

Qualifications

  • Active Colorado RN license or Compact State license (required).
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (BSN preferred).
  • Minimum of 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery experience (required).
  • Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and Intermediate Fetal Monitoring (required).
  • Must have experience circulating in the OR for obstetric procedures.
  • Preferred: Prior travel or PACU experience.
  • Proficiency in Meditech EMR, GE monitors, and Centricity fetal monitoring systems.
  • Strong assessment and communication skills; ability to remain calm in high-pressure situations.
  • Team-oriented with a flexible and positive approach to care delivery.
  • Proof of COVID-19 vaccination and recent tuberculosis test required.
