Pay: $1,994/week (plus $1,100 completion bonus per contract, up to $3,300 after three contracts)

Position Summary

ATC Healthcare is seeking an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a Grievance Coordinator travel position at a correctional facility in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.

The LPN Grievance Coordinator serves as a vital link between inmates, families, county staff, and healthcare professionals, ensuring that medical concerns and complaints are properly addressed. This role requires strong communication skills, sound clinical judgment, and familiarity with correctional healthcare procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive and document healthcare-related grievances and concerns from inmates, family members, and facility staff.
  • Evaluate reported issues such as missed medications or appointments and coordinate resolution with the appropriate healthcare personnel.
  • Maintain accurate grievance logs, documentation, and follow-up reports in compliance with facility and legal requirements.
  • Communicate effectively with nursing, medical, and administrative teams to ensure timely responses to health-related inquiries.
  • Support continuity of care by relaying information to the appropriate department for intervention or follow-up.
  • Adhere to established correctional healthcare policies, confidentiality standards, and HIPAA regulations.
  • Provide clinical support as needed, including medication administration and routine patient assessments within scope.
  • Serve as a professional liaison to uphold patient rights and ensure high-quality correctional healthcare delivery.

Qualifications

  • Active Pennsylvania LPN license (required).
  • Minimum of 2 years of correctional or clinical experience within the past 5 years, 1 year within the past 3 years, or current correctional experience within the past year (required).
  • Corrections experience required – no new graduates.
  • Required Certifications (AHA):
    • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to remain professional and composed in a correctional environment.
  • Must pass all facility-required background checks and security clearance.
  • Proof of recent tuberculosis (TB) test required.
