Registered Nurse – Operating Room (OR) Travel Position

Shift: 4×10 Days
Pay: $2,702/week (plus $2,500 completion bonus per contract, up to $7,500 after three contracts)

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Operating Room (OR) Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week travel assignment in Albany, NY. The OR RN will deliver high-quality perioperative care, assisting surgical teams to ensure safe and effective procedures and optimal patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare the operating room and ensure all necessary equipment and supplies are available and sterile.
• Provide direct patient care before, during, and after surgical procedures.
• Assist surgeons during operations, maintaining a sterile environment and anticipating needs.
• Monitor patients’ conditions and respond promptly to any changes.
• Accurately document patient information, surgical procedures, and interventions.
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in New York or a compact state.
• Minimum of 2 years of recent Operating Room experience (travel experience preferred).
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (additional facility-required certifications as applicable).
• Proof of COVID-19 vaccination and recent tuberculosis test.
• Strong critical thinking, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-acuity surgical environment.
