Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: 3x12s Nights
Pay: $2773.80/week
Completion Bonus: Up to $7,500 total. (You will receive $2,500 after the successful completion of each of your first 3 contracts with us)
Job Description:
We are seeking a highly specialized and experienced Neuro/Surgical ICU Registered Nurse (RN) for a high-acuity unit. This critical role requires expertise in caring for a diverse patient population, including complex trauma, surgical, AND neurological cases. The RN is responsible for advanced critical care interventions, continuous monitoring, and quick, decisive action in emergent situations. Successful candidates must be proficient with the unit's required electronic health record system.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert critical care to trauma, surgical, and neurological ICU patients.
- Perform continuous complex monitoring, including advanced hemodynamic and neurological assessments.
- Quickly identify and respond to acute changes in patient condition, implementing life-saving interventions as needed.
- Maintain comprehensive and timely documentation using the required Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
- Collaborate effectively with surgeons, intensivists, neurologists, and the multidisciplinary team.
- Be prepared to float to other units as needed to support facility staffing requirements.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 Years of ICU staff experience required, specifically covering trauma, surgical, AND neurological ICU patients.
- Epic experience is REQUIRED.
- Active RN license in New York.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications (Assumed to be required for ICU).
- COVID vaccine and recent TB test may be required.
