Certified Surgical Technologist (CST/ORT) – Operating Room (OR) Travel Position

Shift: 4×10 Days
Pay: $2,112/week (plus $2,500 completion bonus per contract, up to $7,500 after three contracts)

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Certified Surgical Technologist (CST/ORT) for a 13-week travel assignment in Albany, NY. The CST/ORT will work closely with the surgical team to ensure optimal patient outcomes by preparing the operating room, maintaining sterile technique, and supporting surgeons and nurses during procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain a sterile operating environment.
• Assist the surgical team with instrument and equipment setup.
• Anticipate the needs of the surgeon and surgical team during procedures.
• Handle specimens properly and maintain accurate counts of instruments and supplies.
• Monitor and maintain aseptic technique throughout procedures.
• Support pre- and post-operative care processes as needed.

Qualifications

• Active CST certification or ORT license in New York.
• Minimum of 2 years of recent operating room experience (travel experience preferred).
• Current BLS certification (additional facility-required certifications as applicable).
• Proof of COVID-19 vaccination and recent tuberculosis test.
• Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and aseptic techniques.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
