Pay: $2,314.80/week (plus $2,500 completion bonus per contract, up to $7,500 after three contracts)
Job Description
We are urgently seeking a highly skilled and dependable Surgical Tech First Assist (RN) to support a critical need at a healthcare facility in Denver, CO on a 13-week travel assignment. This role is essential in delivering quality perioperative care by providing hands-on support to surgeons during procedures and assisting with preoperative and postoperative patient care. The ideal candidate will be confident in both circulating and assisting roles and capable of managing surgical responsibilities in high-pressure environments.
Key Responsibilities

Assist surgeons during operations, including handling instruments, controlling bleeding, and suturing incisions.

Prepare the operating room with appropriate instruments, supplies, and equipment prior to surgery.

Ensure strict adherence to sterile technique throughout all phases of surgery.

Monitor patients' vital signs and surgical site condition intraoperatively.

Collaborate with surgical and anesthesia teams to maintain a safe, efficient surgical environment.
Document all intraoperative events, interventions, and outcomes with precision. -
Support postoperative recovery through patient monitoring and coordination with PACU staff.

Maintain compliance with hospital policies, surgical protocols, and infection control standards.
Qualifications

Current and valid RN license in Colorado (or compact eligibility).

Certification as a First Assist (RNFA) or equivalent training and experience required.

Minimum 1–2 years of recent surgical first assist experience in an acute care setting.

Current BLS and ACLS certifications; CNOR preferred.

Strong knowledge of surgical instruments, techniques, and sterile field management.

Excellent communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
