Pay: $2,052/week (plus $2,500 completion bonus per contract, up to $7,500 after three contracts)

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Telemetry (Tele) Registered Nurse (RN) to join a healthcare facility in Fort Wayne, IN on a 13-week travel assignment. The RN will provide specialized care for patients requiring continuous cardiac and hemodynamic monitoring in a progressive care setting. The ideal candidate has strong telemetry experience, excellent assessment skills, and a commitment to delivering safe, evidence-based, patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients on the Telemetry unit.
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and other vital signs, responding promptly to changes in patient condition.
• Administer prescribed medications, IV therapies, and treatments accurately and in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatment plans, and discharge instructions.
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient progress accurately and promptly in the medical record.
• Adhere to infection control protocols, safety standards, and evidence-based practices in telemetry nursing.

Qualifications

• Current and valid RN license in Indiana (or compact eligibility).
• Minimum 1–2 years of recent telemetry nursing experience in an acute care setting.
• Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
• Strong assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills in high-acuity situations.
• Compassionate and adaptable approach to patient care.
• COVID-19 vaccine and recent tuberculosis test.
