Pay: $2,250/week (plus $2,500 completion bonus per contract, up to $7,500 after three contracts)
Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Dialysis Registered Nurse (RN) to join a healthcare facility in Kingston, PA on a 13-week travel assignment. The RN will provide specialized nursing care to patients undergoing dialysis treatment for chronic or acute kidney failure. The ideal candidate has solid dialysis experience, strong assessment skills, and a commitment to delivering safe, patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform patient assessments before, during, and after dialysis treatment.
- Initiate and monitor dialysis treatments, including set-up and troubleshooting of dialysis machines.
- Administer prescribed medications and fluids as ordered.
- Monitor and document vital signs and treatment responses.
- Collaborate with nephrologists and the interdisciplinary team to develop individualized care plans.
- Educate patients and their families about kidney disease, dialysis treatment, and lifestyle changes.
- Maintain strict adherence to infection control and safety protocols.
- Accurately document assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the medical record.
Qualifications
- Current and valid RN license in Pennsylvania (or compact eligibility).
- Minimum 1–2 years of recent dialysis nursing experience.
- Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS); ACLS preferred.
- Proficiency in operating dialysis machines and monitoring critical patient parameters.
- Strong communication, organizational, and critical thinking skills.
- Compassionate, patient-focused approach to care.
- COVID-19 vaccine and recent tuberculosis test.
