Job Description

ATC Healthcare is seeking an experienced Cath Lab Radiologic Technologist for an assignment in Burien, WA. This role involves working in a dynamic environment performing diagnostic and interventional cath lab procedures, with flexibility to assist in pre/post-care for GI and IR patients as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic and interventional procedures in the cath lab, including preparing patients and assisting physicians during procedures.
• Float as needed to pre- and post-care for cath lab, GI, and interventional radiology patients.
• Maintain accurate patient documentation using Epic EMR.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure patient safety and high-quality outcomes.
• Participate in call rotations for weekday, weekend, and holiday coverage, with a 30-minute response time.

Requirements

• Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in interventional cath lab procedures.
• Certifications:
  • RCIS or ARRT Certification (Required).
  • WA Radiologic Technologist License (Required).
  • BLS and ACLS (Required for RNs; BLS required for Techs).
• Skills: Expertise in diagnostic and interventional cath lab procedures; flexibility to float between departments.

Shifts & Scheduling

• Shift: Day Shift (4x10, 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM).
• Call Requirements:
  • Weeknight: 5:30 PM – 7:00 AM.
  • Weekend: Friday evening through Monday morning (once a month).
  • Holiday: Covered by on-call staff.
• Response Time: 30 minutes.

Unit Information

• Facilities: 1 cath lab and 1 IR suite, with pre/post-care areas.
• Average Daily Volume: 5–6 cases per day, primarily diagnostic and interventional caths.
• Orientation:
  • Three days on unit with a preceptor.
  • Epic EMR training (offered bi-monthly, may not align with the first week).
• Additional Notes:
  • Team-oriented environment with a small staff pool.
  • Manager is a contract staff member.
  • Travelers should be flexible, as schedules may shift to accommodate changing needs.
