Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Med/Surg
Compensation: $1,200-$1,260
Shift – Days/Nights
Location -Rochester, NY
13 week assignment
Schedule: Every other weekend required
Charting System: Epic
Job Summary
ATC Healthcare is seeking a Med/Surg LPN with hospital experience to provide skilled nursing care in acute care settings. The ideal candidate can take their own patient assignment with RN support and is proficient in a variety of clinical skills.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered NY LPN license
- Hospital experience within the last 2 years
- Able to take own patient assignment with RN support
- Every other weekend availability
- CPR/BLS as required by facility
- Ability to lift 30+ pounds, walk long distances, stand for prolonged periods, and assist patients with mobility
Required Skills & Competencies
Clinical Skills:
- Starting and maintaining IVs*
- Blood product administration*
- Central and peripheral line care/management*
- PICC line management*
- Phlebotomy*
- Feeding tube care/management
- Medication administration including heparin protocols
- Oxygen administration (Nasal Cannula, High Flow Nasal Cannula, Oxygen tanks)
- Tracheostomy care/management
- Isolation precautions
- Wound care/Wound Vac
Work Settings / Specialty Experience:
- Med-Surg / Telemetry
- Orthopedics (Ortho trauma, Total Joint Replacements)
- Cardiovascular (Pacemakers, Temporary/Permanent)
- Plastics (Surgical drains)
- Cardiac monitoring & emergency response (Rapid Response/Code teams)

Representative Duties
- Provide patient care in accordance with nursing standards and facility policies
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans
- Perform health screenings and respond to emergent patient needs
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
- Document patient care accurately in Epic
- Follow HIPAA and facility confidentiality standards
- Collaborate with RNs, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams
- Perform other duties as assigned
