JOB SUMMARY
The Radiologic Technologist performs diagnostic radiographic procedures, producing images by passing x-rays through targeted areas of the body. Responsibilities may include positioning patients, capturing images, and following appropriate safety and procedural guidelines. The technologist works under the direction of a radiologist or physician and is expected to adapt to different facility settings and patient needs.
REQUIREMENTS
Education:

Graduate of a Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation (AMA) accredited Radiology Program or equivalent.

Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or equivalent.
Licensure:
-
NV State-specific, current, and unrestricted license

Certification by ARRT.
Experience:
-
Minimum one year of experience as a Radiologic Technologist in a clinical setting.

Experience in surgical or outpatient surgery centers preferred but not required.
Credentials:

Current CPR certificationĀ

Must meet all health and screening requirements for specific assignments.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
-
Perform radiological exams as ordered, including in surgical and outpatient settings.

Administer or assist in administering contrast media when applicable and within legal scope.

Adhere to all ATC Healthcare and client facility policies and procedures.

Maintain HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality.

Ensure proper documentation of services provided.

Initiate emergency procedures per facility guidelines when necessary.

Provide patient care that respects cultural diversity, age, and individual needs.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Assignments vary by client facility and may include exposure to bodily fluids and other potentially infectious materials. Flexibility is required as roles may shift across multiple types of healthcare settings.
