ATC—Northwest is hiring multiple Caregivers (CGs) to join our team in Eugene, Oregon. 

  • $21/per hour for Caregiver shifts
  • $21/per hour for block booking shifts 
  • Direct care of our client’s patients
  • Experience in rehabilitation centers, memory care, and long-term care assisted living

We are building a team (hiring multiple people) of compassionate, skilled, and dedicated Caregiver to work in our clients' Eugene OR buildings. Our client is well known in the area for being a place CGs want to work.

As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in our healthcare team by providing essential support and personal care to patients. You will assist individuals with their daily activities, monitor their health conditions, and ensure a safe and comfortable environment. This role requires compassion, patience, and a commitment to improving the quality of life for those in your care.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Patient Care:

    • Assist with personal hygiene, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
    • Help patients with mobility, including transfers, walking, and use of wheelchairs or other assistive devices.
    • Monitor and record patients’ physical and mental conditions and report any changes to the nursing staff.
  2. Daily Living Support:

    • Provide companionship and emotional support.
    • Assist with meal preparation, feeding, and dietary monitoring.
    • Support patients in managing their medication schedules and remind them to take them as directed.
  3. Healthcare Support:

    • Record vital signs (temperature, blood pressure, pulse, respiration).
    • Assist in basic healthcare tasks as directed by healthcare professionals.
    • Transport patients to medical appointments or treatments as needed.
  4. Documentation:

    • Maintain accurate and timely records of patient care, activities, and health status.
    • Document any incidents or changes in the patient's condition.
  5. Safety and Compliance:

    • Ensure all care activities are conducted safely and in accordance with healthcare regulations.
    • Follow infection control procedures and maintain hygiene standards.

Qualifications:

  1. Education:

    • High school diploma or equivalent.
    • Oregon Certification in caregiving or nursing assistance is mandatory.
  2. Experience:

    • Minimum one year of experience as a caregiver.
    • Familiarity with basic medical terms and practices.
  3. Skills:

    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
    •  First aid and CPR certification.
  4. Certifications:

    • Must have a Certification  for Pre-Service Dementia Care Training for Direct Care Staff  
    • Must have a Certification for  Pre-Service Infection Prevention and Control for Community-Based Care 
    • Must have a Certification for  Home and Community-Based Services and Settings (HCBS) and Individually-Based Limitations (IBL) 
    • Must have a Certification in Providing Inclusive Care for LTC Oregon Facilities 

     

  5. Other Requirements: 

    • A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required.
    • Willingness to undergo background checks, drug tests, TB tests, and other requirements per our company policy. 
    • ATC Background Check and State Background Check (ORCHARDS)
