Job Description

ATC Healthcare is seeking an experienced and dedicated RN for an Intermediate Care (IMC) unit assignment in Albuquerque, NM. This role provides an exciting opportunity to care for a diverse patient population in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialized care to patients in a medical Intermediate Care Unit (IMC), managing conditions like gastrointestinal bleeds, pneumonia, sepsis, respiratory diseases, and stroke/neuro-related diagnoses.
• Work collaboratively with hospitalists and interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Monitor patient conditions, administer medications, and perform necessary interventions.
• Float as needed to PCU, Med-Surg, and ICU units.
• Maintain accurate documentation in Epic, ensuring compliance with hospital standards.
• Support patients and families with education and emotional care.

Requirements

• Experience: Minimum 2 years in Intermediate Care or related units (Required).
• Certifications:
  • ACLS (Required)
  • BCLS (Required)
  • NIH (Required)
  • CPI (Preferred)
• First-time Travelers: Accepted.
• Epic Experience: Required.
• Scrub Color: Any (no logos).

Shifts & Scheduling

• Night Shift: 4x12 hours (6:30 PM – 7:00 AM).
• 36 or 48-hour weekly options available (overtime applies for hours above 48).
• Weekends: Minimum of six per contract, schedule TBD.
• Floating: Required to all PCU units, Med-Surg, and ICU for PCU-level assignments.
• Orientation: Two bedside shifts plus hospital orientation.

• Type: Medical Intermediate Care Unit (IMC).
• Specialties: General medical and neuro patients.
• Staffing Ratios: 1:4.
• Beds: 12.
• Average Daily Census: 12.
• Support: Free Charge Nurse and PCT staffing (subject to call-offs).
