Job Description:

ATC Healthcare is currently seeking an experienced Physical Therapist Acute Care - Contract Position for a rewarding contract opportunity in an acute care setting in Amarillo, TX. This role involves providing essential therapy services in a high-level trauma facility, allowing you to make a significant impact on patient recovery and collaborate within a multidisciplinary team.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

  • Daily Patient Load: Manage a caseload of 10-12 patients within a 450-bed hospital (current census: ~360) across 7 floors.
  • Provide physical therapy for ortho, neuro, oncology, post-op (back, neck), med-surg, and ICU (medical, cardiac, and surgical) cases.
  • Work collaboratively with a team that includes 8-10 Physical Therapists, 6-8 Physical Therapy Assistants, Occupational Therapists, Speech Therapists, and Case Managers.

Job Requirements:

  • Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years in an acute care setting.
  • Systems Knowledge: EPIC experience required.
  • Certifications: Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist.
  • Reliable transportation and smartphone.
