Registered Nurse-Oncology RN

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Oncology team! The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing exceptional patient care in an oncology setting.

We are currently seeking an Oncology RN to work a 13-week contract on night shift in Rock Island IL. Contracts can be extended.

EDUCATION

• Graduate of an accredited Diploma, Associate or Baccalaureate School of Nursing.

LICENSURE

• Current and unrestricted RN nursing license in the state of practice.

EXPERIENCE

• Two years of experience as an RN in an Oncology Unit in the last two years.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Administer chemotherapy and other treatments to oncology patients
- Monitor patient conditions and report changes to the healthcare team
- Educate patients and their families on treatment plans and side effects
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop patient care plans
- Provide emotional support to patients undergoing cancer treatment
- Maintain accurate patient medical records

REQUIREMENTS

- Valid Illinois RN license. Must show proof of application for IA license before you are cleared to start.

-Current CPR

- Previous experience in oncology nursing.
- Knowledge of critical care transport, tube feeding, PICU, gastric lavage, catheter care, senior care, ostomy care, sterile processing, phlebotomize, venipuncture is a plus
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with compassion and empathy
