 This position is responsible for driving catering and group event revenue at Arlo Wynwood by proactively generating new business, responding to inbound leads, and maintaining a strong sales pipeline. This role sells the hotel’s unique event spaces and experiences, builds lasting client relationships, collaborates across teams to execute seamless events, and positions Arlo as a top destination within the Miami/Wynwood market.  

 

RESPONSIBILITIES AND AUTHORITIES: 

  •  Consistently build and maintain a strong pipeline to support and achieve established revenue goals. 
  • Drive revenue growth by achieving and exceeding sales goals through strategic selling of Arlo Wynwood’s event spaces, culinary experiences, and fully customized meeting and social offerings. 

  • Proactively source new business through consistent outbound prospecting across corporate, social, and lifestyle segments including brands, agencies, wedding planners, event producers, and local contacts.  

  • Leverage networking opportunities and deep knowledge of the local market to uncover opportunities and position Arlo Wynwood as a go-to destination for events, and gatherings 

  • Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships through thoughtful, consistent communication and a high-touch service approach. 

  • Respond to inquiries and RFPs with tailored proposals that highlight Arlo’s unique spaces, culinary offerings, and programming potential 

  • Ensure all opportunities are accurately entered, fully detailed, and kept up to date in TripleSeat at all times. 

  • Actively contribute to Business Review Meetings by bringing forward new leads, pipeline updates, and market insights.  

  •  Support proactive sales efforts through targeted outreach campaigns, research on key accounts, and development of strategic partnerships. 

 

 SPECIFIC DUTIES:  

  • You possess excellent communication and leadership skills and are a strong, creative problem solver both with Team members and third-party partners operating within the hotel 

  • Oversee the collective coordination of all event information and resources, and are responsible for account management, sales prospecting and business development. 

  • You are a proactive, self-starter who can work well both independently and as part of a team 

  • You love to negotiate and create win-win situations for customers, owners, partners and all operational team members alike 

  • Daily coordination with F&B Managers to ensure a seamless, thoughtful and excellent level of service. 

  • Prepare proposals for clients and maintain well-organized event records. 

  • Event sales managers build and maintain working relationships with internal and external partners and leverage these relationships to deliver innovative and memorable events. 

  • Identifying event logistics and negotiating contracts. 

  • Coordinate event logistics, proactively communicate event information, and set clear expectations for event delivery. 

  • You are confident, work well under pressure, are able to manage multiple activities simultaneously, and re-prioritize efforts when plans change, or the need arises. 

  • Prepare detailed event reports, including sales data worksheets, cost projections and other financial metrics. They analyze and reconcile disparate event details and consolidate the information into actionable event plans. 

  • Consistently achieve and exceed individual sales activity and set revenue goals, including proactive and reactive calls, site inspections, client appointments, and networking events.  

  • Prepare and be able to speak to market trends with provided resources and from market research 

  

REQUIREMENTS: 

  •  Minimum of two years catering or event sales experience within a hotel, resort or similar hospitality environment 
  • Proven track record of achieving revenue goals 

  • Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills. 

  • The ability to build and maintain long-term client relationships. 

  • A strategic mindset and the ability to adapt to changing market conditions 

  • Must have excellent interpersonal and organizational skills. 

  • High energy and excellent customer service and sales skills are especially effective in this position. 

  • Efficiently utilize digital sales systems (i.e.: TripleSeat, Social Tables, Delphi, Opera) and conceptual sales processes to achieve individual and team objectives.
