Description of the role:

The Director of Housekeeping at Arlo Chicago is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of the housekeeping department to ensure a clean and comfortable environment for our guests.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement housekeeping policies and procedures to maintain high standards of cleanliness
  • Manage and train a team of housekeeping staff, including conducting regular performance evaluations
  • Supervise and inspect the cleanliness of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure efficient and timely delivery of housekeeping services
  • Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, and worked with the Finance department to order necessary items
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the workplace

Requirements:

  • Prior experience in a housekeeping management role
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Knowledge of cleaning products and techniques
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Bilingual
