Our restaurant is a hub of culinary delight, offering a diverse menu of delectable dishes in a warm and inviting atmosphere. As a Hotel Restaurant Server, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring our guests have a memorable stay.
As a Restaurant team member, you will be tasked with the following duties, responsibilities, and assignments:
- Great and seat guests with a warm and welcoming attitude;
- Ensure prompt and courteous service to guests;
- Answer telephone calls and process phone orders;
- Coordinate amenity delivery requests in connection with the kitchen department;
- Address guest questions and complaints;
- Collect and process guest payments;
- Total receipts at end of shift to verify sales and clear cash register;
- Ensures tips are reported properly for tax processing;
- Clear dirty table settings and prepare the table for resetting;
- Maintain stock and cleanliness of stations for all meal periods with necessary equipment including silverware, linen, and condiments;
- Inspect dining room serving stations for neatness and cleanliness;
- Assist service staff as necessary to service guests promptly;
- Follow all company safety and security policies and procedures, including reporting accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to management; and
- Any and all other work as required to complete the primary purpose of the position.
Job Requirements
Qualifications: First and foremost, you need a passion for the hospitality industry. Our guests are expecting an "Arlo" experience and we deliver nothing less.
- Previous hospitality experience is a big plus
- Prior customer service experience, especially as a food server
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to our specific service standards.
Preferred Prior Experience:
Six (6) months of previous customer service, restaurant and/or cashier experience
Preferred Education:
High school diploma or equivalent
Required Licenses/ Certification:
Food Safety Training certified or become certified within first 60 days of employment.
Alcohol Awareness certified or become certified within the first 60 days of employment
