Must be able to work as a team and enjoy talking to people. Reports to the Parts Director. FULL TIME POSITION WITH BENEFITS/40 H0URS A WEEK. MUST HAVE VALID, UNRESTRICTED DRIVERS LICENSE AND CLEAN DRIVING RECORD.
Responsibilities:
- Keep parts department up-to-date on delivery schedule;
- Maintain cleanliness of delivery truck;
- Obeys all traffic laws and follows established traffic procedures;
- Complies with and enforces all safety policies and procedures;
- Observe and report customer information, including customer buying habits and competitive intrusion;
- Fill customer orders and ready them for delivery;
- Verifies the contents of inventory loads against shipping papers;
- Load Parts trucks in a safe manner, securing all items in the bed of the truck;
- Retrieve parts returns and report them to Parts Manager or responsible Counter Person;
- Complete vehicle safety checks per company policy and operates the vehicle within the safety guidelines;
- Presents bill and receipts and collects payment for goods delivered or loaded;
- Pick up parts and equipment from customers, satellite stores, and vendors.
- Follow all delivery and pick-up processes and protocol to ensure compliance and accuracy.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent;
- Prompt and courteous demeanor;
- Valid Driver’s License with Clean Driving record;
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide;
- Excellent customer service skills;
- Must be detail oriented;
- Strong written and verbal communication skills;
- Able to bend, kneel, squat, stand, and lift heavy objects as needed;
- Unrestricted driver’s license and clean driving record;
- Excellent organizational skills;
- Ability to occasionally lift or move 100 pounds from floor to waist with assistance;
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, parts catalogs, and procedure manuals;
- Proficient computer skills. Ability to use a smart phone or hand-held device;
- A valid in-state driver’s license and a good driving record, per company standards.
