Position Purpose
The Medical Supervisor serves as a liaison to ensure resident services are coordinated effectively and aligned with each resident’s service plan. This position works closely with the Resident Services Coordinator and Administrator to support daily operations, supervise staff, and ensure quality care delivery in compliance with applicable regulations.
Qualifications

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) preferred
-
Medical Assistant (MA), Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), CNA, or CENA with medication administration training considered

Ability to maintain required licenses, registrations, CPR, and First Aid certifications

Essential Functions

Follow and enforce company policies and procedures as outlined in the Operations Manual

Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local rules and regulations

Communicate with family members, physicians, therapists, counselors, and service providers as needed
-
Communicate resident concerns and follow-up actions to the Resident Services Coordinator
-
Ensure residents are treated with kindness and respect
-
Protect residents from accidents and injuries and ensure safety during emergencies
-
Participate in employee performance evaluations
-
Supervise shift personnel and communicate staffing concerns to appropriate department managers
-
Process and follow up on physician and healthcare provider orders
-
Ensure compliance with physician orders and outside service provider protocols
-
Oversee resident records, charting, and required documentation
-
Participate in resident assessments and development of resident service plans
-
Ensure resident service plans are followed by all staff
-
Assist staff with new resident move-ins, including paperwork, vital signs, documentation, and general assimilation
-
Ensure safe handling, storage, and use of chemicals, cleaning products, and equipment
-
Perform other duties as assigned to support the goals of the living center
