Position Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Project Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining project financials, ensuring accurate invoices, reconciling accounts, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to manage billing processes effectively. This role requires strong knowledge of accounting, excellent data analysis skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Maintain all relevant income and expenditures for each project, including change orders.
  • Reconcile and invoice individual projects in the ERP system for our Systems Business.
  • Monitor project records and contracts to ensure adherence to agreed terms.
  • Review and approve supplier invoices related to assigned projects.
  • Investigate project variances and provide variance reports to management.
  • Report on project profitability to management.
  • Upload and reconcile customer invoicing into customer portals as required.
  • Maintain and upload supporting documentation/data into the ERP system.
  • Ensure reconciliation of customer portals with the ERP system.
  • Collaborate with customers, third parties, and internal teams to resolve billing inconsistencies and errors.
  • Assist with ad hoc month-end close responsibilities as directed by management.

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Accounting degree preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office, accounting software, and databases required.
  • Strong data analysis capabilities.
  • In-depth understanding of accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and daily activities simultaneously.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
