You will be responsible for overseeing all assigned hotel properties and working with the property based and corporate support teams to help each of these assets reach their full potential in the areas of: revenue generation, associate engagement, guest satisfaction, and preserving the asset. In this role, you will oversee the GM’s in your region to do the same for the properties they are managing.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supervising a group of hotel assets and providing leadership in the oversight of a group of hotels in an effort to help the owner achieve their financial goals
  • Working with property-based and corporate support teams to drive property revenue in the following areas: group, transient and base room revenue; food and beverage revenue, and all other sources of income for the property
  • Focusing on outperforming the comp set in RevPAR and delivering maximum revenue potential for each hotel
  • Working with property-based and corporate support teams to insure proper controls are in place to achieve budgeted forecast GOP and to meet or exceed flow-thru targets when revenue is either above or below budget and/or forecast
  • Leading GMs in an effort to deliver on our promise to our brand partners and guests by providing systemic guest service culture which delivers excellent guest service results as measured by the brand, independent guest satisfaction company and social media vehicles
  • Working with GM and property leaders to insure our associate engagement is very high and that the work environment and culture leads to Banyan Tree Management becoming a true employer of choice
  • Ensuring the GM and property based leaders in properly preserving the assets insuring cleanliness and condition are high as well as proper preventative maintenance programs are in place
  • Assisting in overseeing annual operating plan process, reviewing and approving all components of plan before presentation to the owner
  • When directed, interacting with the asset manager for each ownership group, staying proactive and responding when necessary; Instill confidence in BTM in our owners
  • Reviewing and responding to company roll-up performance reports, congratulating those who met or exceeded the expectation and diving into those properties where the results are less than acceptable
  • Working directly with the Hotel GM’s in providing coaching and counseling in an effort to maximize results
  • Developing further operation acumen, leadership, work approach and emotional intelligence skills in each of the hotel’s GM’s
  • Assisting in leading company-wide regional property meetings and rallies, supporting our culture of collaboration and synergy
  • Identifying and executing strategies where Banyan Tree Management’s size, growth potential and buying power deliver a better product at lower cost for the hotels we manage
  • Working with the respective Brand Managers within the assigned region to insure that all hotels are brand compliant
  • Identifying trends through root cause analysis and through a collaborative approach
  • Developing solutions that will positively affect our overall performance and/ or efficiency
  • Anticipating and planning for platform enhancements needed to deal with the life cycle of the company
  • Implementing effective exit strategies to address gaps in performance
  • Performing other duties as assigned

Compensation based on education and experience.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Hospitality Management, or related field preferred
  • Minimum of five years of top hotel leadership experience with reputable brands such as Hilton, Marriott, and IHG
  • Prefer at least three years at the regional level of leadership with a hotel management company of similar or larger size, in which the candidate has been responsible for reporting to ownership and accountable for performance objectives of hotels
  • Ability to travel 50%+ of time

Computer skills required include:

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office with high level of skill with Microsoft Excel
