Job Summary

Anytime Fitness is considered to be a premier place to work within the fitness industry, where we strive to help our members through coaching and community support. We are seeking a full time individual who is highly motivated with a passion for helping others improve their lives through fitness, nutrition, and recovery. This position will help grow our Membership and Personal Training department and improve member retention by working in a creative, fun, and upbeat atmosphere where each day is different. 

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Sales – a large part of the member coaching role is centered around sales. Member Coaches must convert leads to members through daily follow-ups, relationship building, ability to empathize, and follow through. The ability to speak to our training program and how to leverage our technology (Anytime Fitness App, body scanner, heart rate monitors, etc.) to support the growth of the training department is a must.
  • Fitness consultations – our coaches conduct fitness consultations for new members, which include goal setting, a body scan and fitness assessment, sample workout, and recommendation of our training programs. 
  • Training services – our coaches deliver high-quality, pre-programed small group and 1-on-1 workouts with energy and safely.
  • Educator – our coaches educate clients on safe and effective training regimens, provides nutrition guidance, and promotes recovery. 
  • Drives results – our coaches drive client success through session attendance and metric tracking.
    • Understand how to administer body scan technology and interpret results.
    • Engage with digital coaching platforms to assist and motivate clients outside of the club.
    • Provide excellent customer service through member engagement and client accountability.
  • Goals & alignment – our coaches are responsible for achieving a monthly personal training revenue goal established by the management team.
    • Partner alongside member sales team to promote membership growth.
    • Attend weekly/monthly team meetings.
  • Cleanliness – our coaches participate and ensure facility cleanliness and tidiness. 
  • Continued learner – our coaches demonstrate a drive for career development through continued education and leadership opportunities and remains current on certifications, CPR/First Aid, and new trends in the industry. 

 

Qualifications

  • Currently certified or willing to become certified by a Nationally Accredited Personal Training Certification such as NASM, ACSM or ISSA or educational equivalent such as an associates, bachelors or masters degree in a related field.  Certification reimbursement opportunities are available.
  • CPR, First Aid, and AED Certified or become certified within 30 days of employment

 

Job Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED 
  • Extensive knowledge of fitness, endurance training, strength / power training and program design, using the tools given to optimize client results 
  • Strong ability to coach and manage time, motivating multiple clients in a group setting
  • Ability to work with clients from all walks of life, abilities and goals.
  • Appetite for delivering coaching services virtually through in-app messaging, video chatting and more.
  • Strong communication skills and team player.
  • Flexible schedule, days / nights and/or weekends.

 

Preferred Requirements

  • Previous sales experience
