Delivery Route Driver/Light Technician

Delivery driver to run routes in and around San Angelo to include primary delivery of 50 & 80-pound bags of salt, 42-pound bottles of water. Responsible for the delivery, repair/service and cleanliness of water coolers/dispensers, in additional to learning introductory technician service on non-route days.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Deliver all scheduled products in an efficient, safe and timely manner
• Operate company vehicles, including forklift, safely at all times
• Load and unload truck, ensuring sufficient material for day’s routes are included in load
• Ensure customer satisfaction and retention
• Communicate clearly and positively with customers, including legibly completed forms
• Maintain open and positive communication with other employees, departments and dealerships, and provide assistance where possible to support company-wide goals to exceed customers’ expectations
• Assist/train other employees as requested
• Actively support a positive team environment that is conducive to the efficient and effective serving of our customers
• Take precautions to avoid accidents and ensure the safety of everyone
• Safeguard company equipment and products, keeping track of material delivered and returned
• Know and follow company policies and procedures; identify need for and suggest change when appropriate
• Ensure all equipment is set and operating properly. Notify customer of office if any maintenance is required
• Help bottle water and harvest ice as needed
• Other duties as needed

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Effective communication skills
• Ability to handle repetitive weight of up to 165 pounds, most in 50-80-pound range
• Valid driver’s license and arrest-free driving record
• Pass background check
• Pass drug screening
• Pass WorkSTEPS physical
• Complete assessment inventories
