The main responsibility of an Automotive Detailer is to clean, correct, and finish vehicles according to company and client specifications. This may include waxing, driving vehicles to designated areas, and using various types of equipment. The ultimate candidate would have great attention to detail and excellent customer service skills. Responsibilities
- Perform inspections and keep accurate records of the vehicle’s condition.
- Move, park, and deliver vehicles to designated locations at the dealership.
- Clean vehicle interiors and exteriors according to company and client specifications.
- Operate various equipment and tools, including buffers, steamers, hoses, and vacuums.
- Use a variety of products and methods to clean, protect, and restore the appearance of vehicles, including washing, waxing, and polishing.
- Directly report any damage to the direct supervisor on time.
- Coordinate and arrange tasks effectively with other team members.
- Communicate effectively with customers and team members regarding the status of the vehicle.
Qualifications
- Previous experience preferred.
- Must possess a strong attention to detail.
- Must be able to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Must be able to interact with customers, team members, and management professionally.
- Must have a thorough understanding of methods used to clean and protect vehicles.
- Must be willing to participate in a pre-employment background check and drug screening.
- Must have a valid Driver’s License and clean driving record.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods of standing
- Must be able to bend, stoop, kneel and squat to perform repairs and inspections.
- Must be able to visually inspect vehicles in a variety of weather conditions.
- Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds at a time.
