Are you a seasoned financial professional with a passion for client relationships and a desire to contribute to the growth of a thriving private wealth advisory practice? Steller Wealth Planning, a Private Wealth Advisory Practice of Ameriprise Financial, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Associate Financial Advisor (AFA) to join our team.
This is a highly client-facing role designed for an experienced, fully licensed advisor who is eager to grow organically within a well-established practice. The position offers a clear long-term path, including gradual responsibility for existing client relationships and the opportunity to become a future business partner.

Responsibilities
- Client Relationship Management: Build and deepen relationships with new and existing clients through proactive communication, personalized service, and ongoing financial planning support.
- Meeting Preparation and Follow-Up: Prepare for client meetings, coordinate materials, and ensure timely and thorough follow-up on action items.
- Financial Planning and Implementation: Assist with and deliver financial planning, investment, and insurance solutions aligned with client goals.
- Client Education: Clearly explain strategies and recommendations to help clients make informed, confident decisions.
- Practice Collaboration: Work closely with advisors and team members to deliver a consistent, high-quality client experience and support the long-term growth of the practice.
- Marketing: Develop and maintain professional referral relationships. Proactively engage in outreach and networking to identify prospective clients.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Education: Bachelor’s degree required.
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in a client-facing financial services role.
- Licensing: Fully licensed (Series 7, Series 66); Washington Life & Health Insurance license preferred.
- Background: Ameriprise experience preferred but not required.
- Energized by engaging with new clients and starting new relationships.
- Client Focus: Strong relationship-builder who values depth of relationships over aggressive business development.
- Professional Traits: Organized, detail-oriented, empathetic, and confident working directly with clients.
- Cultural Fit: Thrives in a teamwork driven, entrepreneurial environment and enjoys working collaboratively.

Compensation & Benefits
- Base Salary: Competitive base salary ($75,000, commensurate with experience).
- Exempt
