A dynamic, growth oriented, well established financial advisory practice is seeking a fulltime fully licensed Paraplanner (Series 7, 66 and Life/Health). At Ameriprise Financial we help people feel confident about their financial future by providing comprehensive financial planning and investment consulting to families, individuals, and small organizations to help achieve financial goals and simplify their financial lives.
Job Purpose:
Serve as a Paraplanner, providing exceptionally friendly, helpful, high-quality service to our clients. Assists Financial Advisors in managing and organizing workflow at an intermediate level. Required to follow legal and regulatory requirements and company policies in dealing with others and/or performing work activities.
Responsibilities:
- Gathering client data and entering into applicable software
- Financial planning case analysis
- Data analysis
- Reviewing and interpreting financial statements
- Performing numerical calculations
- Preparing preliminary financial planning recommendations and entering data in financial planning tool
- Typing goals and recommendations for plans and printing S&P reports
- Checking/researching cost basis for tax information
- Portfolio construction and management
- Meeting preparation/deliverables
- Running life and long term care illustrations
- Reviewing and updating client information
- Paperwork processing
- Client service
- Correspondence
- Executing trades and transactions
- Liaison to PracticeSource (financial plan coordination)
- Special projects as needed
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree
- 2+ years of similar work experience in the financial services industry
- FINRA Series 7, 66 and life and health licenses are required
- Pleasant, professional and friendly manner with excellent interpersonal skills
- Outstanding client service skills
- Highly organized, accurate, and attention to detail
- Proven analytical and independent problem-solving skills
- Highly proficient in Microsoft office including Excel, Word and Outlook
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities
- Strong personal and business ethics and integrity
- Desire to grow and learn within the practice
