Ferhadson & Associates – Troy/Novi - a Private Wealth Advisory Practice of Ameriprise Financial is seeking a fulltime Financial Planning Assistant to join our innovative and dynamic team. At Ameriprise Financial we help people feel confident about their financial future by providing comprehensive financial planning and investment consulting to families, individuals, and small organizations to help achieve financial goals and simplify their financial lives.
Job Purpose:
Serve as a Financial Planning Assistant, providing exceptionally friendly, helpful, high-quality service to our clients and help the practice in managing and organizing office workflow. This position will work closely with the Financial Planning Manager for plan development and also with Paraplanners and Advisors to create a dynamic meeting experience for our clients.
Responsibilities:
- Requesting and discussing updated data from clients
- Managing incoming client data and updating financial planning tool
- Analyzing financial data and creating multiple client retirement scenarios for advisors
- Ability to write and communicate data and recommendations to advisors and clients
- Creating insurance illustrations where appropriate
- Completing case preparation
- Following up after client meetings
- Managing and resolving client service issues
- Drafting engagement letters
- Pulling financial planning reports
- Invoicing and tracking client plan payments
- Tracking of financial plans and delivery due dates
- Calculating RMD’s
Qualifications:
- Associates degree
- 2+ years of similar work experience in the financial services industry
- Familiar with the different types of financial documents & accounts
- Highly organized, accurate, and strong attention to detail
- Ability to handle multiple responsibilities and manage workflow independently
- Proven analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency using financial planning software, a plus
- Drive to improve and grow as our practice continues to expand
- Pleasant, professional and friendly manner with excellent interpersonal skills
- Highly proficient with in Microsoft office including Excel, Word and Outlook
- Experience with Salesforce
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong personal and business ethics and integrity
Compensation: $50,000-$60,000 depending on experience
