Inspire Confidence Group, a Private Wealth Advisory Practice of Ameriprise Financial, is seeking a Financial Planning Assistant to join our growing, client-focused team. Position Overview
The Financial Planning Assistant support the advisory and operations teams to ensure seamless client experience by preparing and maintaining client files, assisting with data entry and account set up, processing business, follow up tasks from client visits, and other various tasks.
This role is well suited for a highly organized, detail-oriented professional who enjoys working in a collaborative environment and has a strong interest in financial planning and wealth management. It is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their career who is looking to gain hands-on industry experience while working toward professional licensing and long-term growth within the firm.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare materials and reports for upcoming client visits
- Assist advisors with visit follow-up tasks and documentation
- Support client communications including emails and phone coordination
- Attend client visits and assist with technology or visit logistics when needed
- Assist with financial planning tools and software, including data entry and updates
- Learn and support the firm’s planning process and advisor workflows
- Build foundational knowledge of financial planning concepts and systems
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Degree in Finance, Financial Planning, Business, or related field preferred
- 0–2 years of professional experience
- Interest in pursuing a career in financial planning or wealth management
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong technology skills and ability to learn new systems quickly
Technology & Systems
Experience with the following tools is helpful but not required:
- MoneyGuide
- Salesforce or similar CRM systems
- Morningstar or Thomson financial tools
- Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

- Compensation: $26.00 - $31.25/hour – non-exempt
