About the Role
We are seeking a full-time Client Service Associate to join our growing practice in Manhattan, KS. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys the technical side of financial planning and wants to play an integral role in supporting clients and the practice. You will handle the back-end work of financial planning, manage client service requests, and support new business. —allowing the advisor to focus on client relationships and business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and process proposals, trades, transactions, money movements, and new business applications
- Serve as first point of contact for client account-related questions; triage to the advisor as needed
- Support the client onboarding process, account setup, and coordination with Ameriprise Corporate home office to ensure that the new client’s journey is effortless and stress free accuracy Ameriprise Advisors
- Manage client communications: letters, emails, scheduling, and client service workflow
- Maintain files, records, and compliance standards; ensure regulatory and internal procedures are followed
- Help plan and execute appreciation events, seminars, and meaningful client interactions. Assist with client appreciation events, seminars, or other touchpoint initiatives Ameriprise Advisors
- Identify process improvements, contribute to efficiencies, and help the practice scale
- Other duties as assigned by the advisor, with role evolution over time
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent experience in financial services.
- 2+ years of experience in financial services, client service, operations, or related roles.
- Licensing (Series 7/66 and/or Life & Health) preferred, but not required at hire; ability and willingness to obtain licenses is expected.
- Strong technical and organizational skills with high attention to detail.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) required.
- Excellent client service and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a small team.
- Must be able to work in-office in Manhattan, KS.
Compensation & Benefits
- $48,000 – $55,000 commensurate with experience.
- Non-Exempt
