Respective Wealth, A private wealth advisory practice of Ameriprise Financial Services is seeking a summer Financial Planning Intern to join our innovative and dynamic team. We focus on fostering a great team environment and culture that emulates the work and relationships we build and have with our clients. This role has the opportunity to turn into a full-time position once you graduate with a career path and additional growth opportunities towards an Advisor role.

Job Purpose:

Serve as an Intern, providing exceptionally friendly, helpful, high-quality service to our clients. This internship will shadow our advisors’, assisting them financial planning and client needs.

Responsibilities:

• Sit in on client meetings
• Assist with financial planning needs
• Update client information in CRM
• Special projects as directed by advisor
• Other clerical support as required

Qualifications:

• 1+ years of similar work experience in a professional office environment, ideally in the financial services industry
• Working towards a bachelor’s degree in finance or financial planning
• Pleasant, professional and friendly manner with excellent interpersonal skills
• Strong team player
• Highly organized, accurate, and attention to detail
• Proven analytical and independent problem-solving skills
• Highly proficient with in Microsoft office including PowerPoint, Excel, Word and Outlook
• Experience with Salesforce is a plus
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to handle multiple responsibilities
• Strong personal and business ethics and integrity

Salary and Benefits:

• $20 per hour – non-exempt
