We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled Planning Analyst to support the firm’s growing planning needs, particularly in the areas of insurance, annuity oversight, and client financial strategies.
About the Role:
As our Planning Analyst, you will work behind the scenes to ensure technical tasks are completed efficiently and accurately. You’ll support advisors by preparing insurance proposals, managing outside annuities, running illustrations, coordinating reprojections, and assisting with financial planning tools like MoneyGuidePro. This role is critical to streamlining advisor capacity and ensuring timely follow-through for clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Run and manage insurance illustrations, proposals, and follow-ups
- Monitor and coordinate outside annuities, including surrender charge tracking and reviews
- Assist with reprojections and technical research as needed
- Serve as a resource for financial planning data input and management, particularly in MoneyGuidePro
- Collaborate with advisors to prepare for client meetings and follow-up items
- Attend training and onboarding sessions to stay current on firm tools and workflows
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or related field preferred
- 1–3 years of relevant experience in financial services or insurance is ideal
- Life and Health Insurance license is strongly preferred; or willingness to obtain within 60 days of hire
- Desire to pursue further licensing (Series 7/66) is welcomed but not required at start
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple technical tasks independently
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Experience with MoneyGuidePro or similar planning software a plus
Compensation and Benefits:
- Starting salary: $60,000 annually, negotiable based on experience and licensing
- Medical coverage: 80% employer-paid, up to $700/month, available after 2 months
- 401(k) with 3% employer match
