Job Summary
ameriCARE of Greater Richmond is hiring In-Home Caregivers/CNAs to provide dependable, compassionate care to seniors and individuals who need assistance in their homes.
Caregivers provide support with personal care, mobility, meals, light housekeeping, companionship, and other daily needs based on each client’s individual care plan. We are seeking reliable professionals who take pride in providing respectful, attentive, and quality care. Previous caregiving experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities
As an In-Home Caregiver/CNA, you may assist clients with:
- Personal care, bathing, dressing, grooming, and hygiene
- Ambulation, transfers, and mobility
- Medication reminders and assistance
- Meal preparation and assistance with meals
- Light housekeeping and laundry
- Grocery shopping and errands
- Transportation or accompaniment to appointments and outings
- Physical therapy exercises and other recommended activities
- Companionship and meaningful activities
- Monitoring and reporting changes in a client’s condition
- Communicating important updates to the care team and family
- Responding appropriately in emergency situations
Requirements
- Previous caregiving experience preferred but not required
- Current CPR certification through the American Heart Association
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Compassionate, respectful, and patient
- Reliable and dependable
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Good time management and organizational skills
- Comfortable with light housekeeping and meal preparation
- Willingness to follow care instructions and health and safety standards
- Physical ability to safely perform required caregiving tasks
