Lead, Build, and Grow
American Motors is seeking a driven, results-oriented Commercial Truck Wholesale Manager to build and expand our wholesale truck operation. This position is designed for someone who thrives on finding opportunities, building relationships, making profitable deals, and creating growth.
This is not a desk job. We need a hunter, a deal-maker, and a leader who can source trucks, move inventory, build a strong network, and help grow a high-performance team.

Key Responsibilities
Truck Purchasing & Inventory Acquisition
- Source and purchase Class 4–8 commercial trucks nationwide
- Develop relationships with fleets, dealerships, leasing companies, auctions, wholesalers, and owner-operators
- Evaluate market opportunities and negotiate profitable purchases
- Manage inventory flow to support company sales objectives
Wholesale Truck Sales
- Build and maintain a nationwide network of wholesale buyers
- Market and sell trucks to dealers, wholesalers, exporters, and fleet operators
- Maximize inventory turns and gross profit
- Consistently achieve sales and purchasing goals
Leadership & Team Development
- Help recruit and develop top-performing team members
- Foster a culture of accountability, growth, and execution
- Continuously improve systems, processes, and performance standards
- Address performance issues quickly and professionally when necessary
Business Growth
- Identify new markets and opportunities for expansion
- Analyze market trends and pricing data
- Work directly with ownership to grow wholesale volume and profitability
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience buying and selling commercial trucks
- Strong understanding of truck valuations and wholesale markets
- Excellent negotiation and relationship-building skills
- Highly organized and self-motivated
- Ability to work independently and make sound business decisions

Preferred
- Existing network of truck dealers, wholesalers, fleets, or auction contacts

- Knowledge of Class 4–8 truck markets
Compensation Plan
Base Salary: $90,000
Additional Earnings Include:
- Performance Bonus
- Commission on every truck purchased
- Commission on every truck sold (that you buy)
- Additional incentives based on volume, profitability, and inventory turn performance. The better your team performs the more money you make.
Expected First-Year Earnings: $150,000+ for a successful performer
There is no ceiling on what a top producer can earn.
