Lead Caregiver (CNA) – Home Care

We are seeking an experienced Lead Caregiver (CNA) to support day-to-day operations in home care. This role focuses on caregiver support, training, quality assurance, and scheduling assistance. The Lead Caregiver plays a key role in helping caregivers succeed and ensuring consistent, high-quality service for our clients.

This is a non-clinical, support-focused role and does not include nursing assessments, clinical supervision, or delegation of nursing tasks.

Requirements

  • Active Utah CNA license (required)
  • Minimum of 2 years of professional caregiving experience (required)
  • Home care experience strongly preferred
  • Comfortable with training and supporting caregivers
  • Strong communication and documentation skills
  • Reliable transportation and ability to travel to client homes
  • Flexible availability based on operational needs

Key Responsibilities

Caregiver Support & Training

  • Assist with new caregiver orientation
  • Provide caregiver skills demonstrations and checklist reviews
  • Reinforce company standards, professionalism, and safety expectations

Quality Assurance

  • Conduct non-clinical quality assurance visits
  • Observe caregiver performance for compliance with care plans and policies
  • Document findings and communicate concerns to the owner or office team

Scheduling & Coverage Support

  • Assist with scheduling coordination and caregiver availability checks
  • Fill in caregiver shifts as needed to ensure continuity of care
    (Fill-in shifts are not guaranteed and are based on business needs)

General Support

  • Serve as a resource for caregivers regarding job expectations
  • Support positive client relationships and escalate concerns appropriately
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned

Compensation & Benefits

  • $20.00 – $24.00/hour, based on experience
  • Overtime paid in accordance with Utah and federal law
  • Flexible scheduling

Important Notes

  • This position is hourly and non-exempt
  • Employment is at-will, consistent with Utah law
  • Duties must remain within CNA scope of practice
  • No clinical supervision or nursing judgment required or expected
