Evening Dementia Caregiver - Richardson, TX

Position: Experienced Dementia Caregiver
Location: Richardson, TX 75081 (Facility-Based Care)
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM

Always Best Care Senior Services is seeking a compassionate and experienced caregiver to support a client with dementia currently residing in a care facility in Richardson, TX.

This is an evening support role designed to complement the client’s daytime caregiver. The primary focus of care is to provide comfort, reassurance, and hands-on assistance during the evening hours and to prepare the client for bed.

Client Overview:

• Client has dementia and may become confused, particularly when feeling unsafe

• Not aggressive or violent

• Benefits from calm communication, routine, and reassurance

Responsibilities Include:

• Providing companionship and emotional reassurance during the evening

• Assisting with bedtime routines (personal care, toileting reminders, hygiene, and preparing for sleep)

• Supporting a calm and structured environment to reduce confusion

• Monitoring for safety and comfort

• Communicating any concerns or changes to the care team

Requirements:

• Proven experience caring for clients with dementia (required)

• Ability to remain calm, patient, and reassuring during periods of confusion

• Dependable, attentive, and compassionate

• Ability to follow care plans and facility guidelines
