The Home Care Supervisor plays a pivotal role in the success of our business. This position is responsible for developing positive relationships with our clients, their families and our caregivers Specifically,
Customer Quality Assurance
- Conduct weekly client visits for the purpose of:
- Ensuring up-to-date care plans are on file and effectively communicated among all appropriate parties
- Ensuring that clients are satisfied with Always Best Care
- Troubleshoot any caregiver or client issues or concerns
- Conduct agency’s Start of Cares (SOC) and new caregiver introductions
- Provide feedback on client needs and personality, as well as caregiver performance and personality to scheduling staff with the goal of improved caregiver matchups with clients
Caregiver Coaching and Support
- Provide direct feedback and coaching to caregivers with the goal of performance improvement, better job and customer satisfaction
- Provide caregivers opportunities to give feedback about clients, their own career goals and opportunities/assignments that they prefer.
Client Assessments & Administration
- Conduct client assessments and reassessments as needed/assigned
- Update client records in ClearCare to ensure information, assessments, care plans and other documents for all clients remains accurate and current.
On-call and Fill-in duties
- Share weekday and weekend on-call and back-up on-call duties for after-hours phone coverage and scheduling changes. On call is defined as any time the office is closed (COB to OOB).
- Fill in shifts as the “fill in of last resort” if needed.
Scheduling Support
- Back up our scheduling function by working in close consultation with other schedulers, sales and customer service personnel, ensure that client schedules are filled in a timely manner and that any non-scheduled vacancies in client schedules are filled in a timely manner.
- Handle client feedback and complaints with respect to scheduling and caregivers
- Communicate any caregiver or client issues or changes to all appropriate parties.
- Enter notes into ClearCare about clients and caregivers to document issues, concerns and ensure that all parties at Always Best Care have access to information.
- Learn Clearcare scheduling function to help and back up schedulers as needed.
Caregiver Training & Marketing Duties
- In close consultation with Susan Oderwald, work to develop regular training and marketing materials consistent with the ABC Franchise RAMP program.
- Work in close consultation with Susan Oderwald to implement caregiver training in the field, online and in person to be consistent with maintaining quality care.
- Provide as needed one-on-one training in the field.
Other Duties
Backstop and assist as needed other office functions, including sales and marketing. It is especially important that information be managed carefully with referral sources and that this position works closely with Always Best Care’s sales and marketing function to provide feedback to social workers, nursing liaisons and other staff with whom we coordinate care and from whom we get referrals.
Skills and attributes
Must be a Connecticut state certified nurses’ assistant with extensive home care experience, or an LPN with home care experience. Solid communications skills, computer savvy, able to communicate effectively via text, ability to multi-task, extremely detail oriented, fast keyboarding skills, honest & trustworthy, positive attitude, comfortable working unsupervised. Prior experience as a caregiver and scheduler for home care agency strongly preferred.
Compensation and hours
Working mainly Monday through Friday, core hours are 9 am to 4 pm (36 hours) with the expectation that 4 hours of on-call and/or flex time spent working after hours is included in the 40-hour workweek for which the position is compensated.
On-call
The position includes providing on-call and back-up on call duties at any time it is not otherwise scheduled or covered by other office personnel. This typically includes 2 nights per week, 1 weekend per month and shared responsibility with holiday.
This is an exempt position paying $50,000-60,000 base pay. Additional compensation for on-call duties, and performance bonuses is authorized.
