Description of the Role:
Always Best Care Senior Services - Oahu is seeking a Home Care Supervisor to join our team in Honolulu, Hawaii. As a Home Care Supervisor, you will play a vital role in the planning, coordination, leading, controlling, and evaluation of home care services. This position requires an energetic and experienced individual with a passion for caring for our elders.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and liaise with appropriate parent and affiliate departments and committees
- Develop policies and guidelines for and obtain input from service personnel
- Provide professional input to related administrative systems
- Conduct intake meetings and develop care plans with home care clients and family members
- Direct and supervise professional and paraprofessional personnel rendering client care services
- Perform marketing duties and foster public relations for the company
- Consult and plan with home care facilities regarding staffing needs
- Communicate the concept of quality client care to the general community
- Remain available during all hours that services are offered
- Conduct skilled nursing visits and assist patients during facility discharges as needed
- Interpret service needs to the Administrator and act as a client services' administrative liaison
- Consult, plan, and work with Administrator in policy formulation and programmatic development and implementation, including assessing adequate and appropriate staffing
- Coordinate with Administrator planning activities to develop administrative policies and practices for the agency
- Consult with supervisors and staff, individually or in groups, regarding clients or special programs or service programs
- Evaluate the program, services, and field personnel
- Direct the implementation of service goals and objectives
- Develop standards that ensure safe and effective services to clients and families
- Recruit Nurse Aides from schools, expos, etc.
- Establish and maintain effective channels of communication
- Keep program personnel up to date with state-of-the-art clinical information and practices staff development including orientation, in-service education, and continuing education
- Oversee the implementation and evaluation of client care services, inclusive of regulatory licensure and certification criteria and accreditation standards
- NS physical therapists will perform physical therapy as-needed
- NS nurses will perform nursing services as-needed
- Other duties as indicated in the full job description
Requirements:
- Valid PT, RN, or LPN license
- Experience in home care or a related field
- Strong leadership and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Familiarity with regulatory licensure and certification criteria
- Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to changing work environments
