Job Summary

Always Best Care Senior Services - Oahu is looking to hire a full-time Certified Nursing Assistant / Nursing Assitant to join our team on Kauai Island. This role will be responsible for providing quality care to elderly and disabled adults and ensure they receive the necessary assistance. The successful applicant will have experience in the healthcare / medical field, be committed to delivering excellent customer service, and take great pride in their work.

Compensation and Benefits

This position will offer a competitive hourly rate of between $18 and $20 an hour, paid weekly. The successful applicant may also be offered additional benefits such as health insurance, vacation pay, and paid holidays, in accordance with the company policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety of clients through proper observation and monitoring
• Assist clients with their daily living activities like bathing, washing, dressing, grooming and meal preparation
• Help clients with basic physical therapy needs
• Assist in providing medical care to the elderly and disabled, including case management
• Receive, give and transport medications
• Assist with manual handling and changing of clients
• Document clearly and accurately regarding patients’ care
• Ensure client charts are current
• Keep the workplace clean and tidy, as well as storing supplies and equipment appropriately
• Follow relevant legislation and regulations with regards to patient safety

Requirements

• Current certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant and/or Nursing Assistant in Hawaii
• Demonstrate commitment to delivering quality care
• Strong ability to interact with clients in a friendly, confident manner
• Ability to understand and follow directions
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize
• Reliability, patience, and understanding
• Caring demeanor
• Current CPR and First Aid certification
