Always Best Care Senior Services is seeking patient, compassionate, and dependable caregivers to provide specialized one-on-one care for a client with advanced-stage dementia in a senior living community in Dallas, TX.

This position is ideal for caregivers who understand the complexities of severe cognitive impairment and can provide attentive supervision, hands-on assistance, and consistent redirection throughout their shifts.

The client requires a high level of support, patience, and engagement. We are looking for caregivers who can remain calm in challenging situations, respond appropriately to changing behaviors, and prioritize the client's safety, comfort, and dignity.

Both daytime and overnight opportunities are available, offering a consistent schedule of two 12-hour shifts per week.

Available 12-Hour Shifts

• Day Shift: 8:00 AM–8:00 PM
• Overnight Shift: 8:00 PM–8:00 AM
• Pay Rate: $16.50 per hour
• Weekly Schedule: Two 12-hour shifts, totaling 24 hours per week

Caregivers must be dependable, attentive, and able to remain actively engaged throughout their assigned shifts.

Caregiver Responsibilities

Caregivers will provide individualized support tailored to the needs of a client experiencing advanced dementia. Responsibilities include:

• Maintaining close supervision to promote safety and prevent wandering or unsafe situations
• Assisting with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
• Providing meal assistance and feeding support as needed
• Using frequent verbal cues, reassurance, and gentle redirection
• Responding calmly to confusion, agitation, repetitive behaviors, or other dementia-related challenges
• Supporting mobility and daily living activities
• Following established routines to minimize confusion and promote comfort
• Providing companionship and emotional reassurance
• Observing and reporting changes in behavior, condition, or care needs
• Communicating important updates to the appropriate office staff
• Completing required care notes and documentation after each shift

Candidate Qualifications

We are seeking caregivers with the patience, experience, and confidence necessary to support someone with significant cognitive impairment.

Qualified candidates should have:

• Previous professional caregiving experience
• Strong experience with advanced dementia, Alzheimer's disease, or memory care strongly preferred
• Experience assisting clients with significant cognitive decline and behavioral changes
• The ability to provide consistent supervision and effective redirection
• A calm, patient, and compassionate approach to challenging situations
• Strong observation and communication skills
• A dependable work ethic and excellent attendance
• Reliable transportation to and from the assignment
• The ability to commit to two full 12-hour shifts each week
