Weekday Caregiver – Stroke Recovery Client | Monday–Friday

Location: Irving, TX 75063
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–3:30 PM
Position: Full-Time Caregiver

Always Best Care Senior Services is seeking a compassionate, dependable, and friendly, talkative caregiver to assist a client who recently experienced a stroke.

This client would especially benefit from a caregiver who enjoys conversation and naturally engages with others. Talking and regular verbal interaction are an important part of the client’s stroke recovery and therapy, so we are looking for someone who is personable, patient, encouraging, and comfortable keeping conversation going throughout the day.

The client also has a dog in the home, so applicants must be comfortable working around pets.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs)

• Provide personal care and hygiene assistance as needed

• Assist with dressing, grooming, toileting, and other daily needs

• Provide mobility and transfer assistance as appropriate

• Prepare meals and provide assistance during mealtimes as needed

• Provide companionship and frequent conversation to support the client’s recovery

• Encourage safe participation in the client's established daily routine

• Provide light housekeeping related to the client's care

• Maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment

• Observe and report changes in the client's condition or needs

Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who is:

• Talkative, outgoing, and naturally conversational

• Patient and encouraging with a client recovering from a stroke

• Experienced with personal care and ADL assistance

• Dependable and able to maintain a consistent Monday–Friday schedule

• Comfortable with dogs

• Compassionate, attentive, and respectful of the client's independence
