What You'll Do
Working under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist, you will:

Deliver individualized physical therapy treatments according to established plans of care
-
Assist patients in improving mobility, strength, balance, endurance, coordination, and functional independence
-
Provide gait training, transfer training, therapeutic exercise, and instruction in the safe use of assistive devices
-
Educate patients and family members on home exercise programs, fall prevention, and techniques that promote independence
-
Monitor patient progress, identify changes in condition, and communicate findings to the supervising Physical Therapist
-
Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation
-
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, therapists, caregivers, and other members of the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure outstanding patient outcomes
What We're Looking For
Qualified candidates will have:

Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
-
Current New Mexico Physical Therapist Assistant license in good standing
-
Current CPR/BLS certification
-
Valid driver's license
-
Reliable transportation and current automobile insurance
-
Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills
-
Home health experience preferred, but motivated new graduates are encouraged to apply
