Al Packer Ford is looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Accounting Clerk to join our team! This position plays a vital role in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting various dealership accounting functions. Key Responsibilities -

  • Retail & Wholesale Processing: Accurately process vehicle deals and ensure all related documentation is complete.
  • Lien Payoffs: Verify and issue payoff checks, ensuring timely submission to financial institutions.
  • Daily Bank Deposits: Reconcile accounting reports from POS systems and cash drawers with receipts, including currency, checks, and credit cards.
  • Error Resolution: Investigate discrepancies, trace errors, and make necessary accounting adjustments.
  • Check Issuance: Issue checks in alignment with company policies and guidelines.
  • General Support: Resolve accounting issues as they arise and perform additional duties as assigned to meet departmental needs.
  • Financial Recording: Maintain organized financial records and documentation for audits and compliance purposes.
  • Team Interaction: Collaborate with team members to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency.

Qualifications & Skills -

  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience: 2 years minimum of dealership accounting experience is a must.
  • Skills -
    • Strong understanding of debits and credits as well as balance sheet reconciliation.
    • Proficiency in CDK (dealership management system) required.
    • Excellent data entry skills with a keen eye for detail.
    • Strong analytical skills to interpret financial data effectively.
    • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
    • Effective communication skills to interact with internal teams and external customers, vendors, etc.
