Automotive Title Clerk – Experience Required

Allen Honda is looking for an experienced Automotive Title Clerk to join our dealership accounting team. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who understands dealership title work, takes pride in accuracy, and knows how to keep transactions moving.

Previous automotive dealership title clerk experience is required. Applicants without this experience will not be considered.

Responsibilities

• Process titles and registrations for new, used, wholesale, and dealer-trade vehicles
• Review sales paperwork for accuracy and completeness
• Submit required documentation to state and county agencies
• Process temporary tags, lien recordings, lien releases, and duplicate titles
• Verify taxes, fees, payoff information, customer details, and lienholder information
• Track outstanding titles and resolve missing or delayed title issues
• Maintain accurate title schedules, logs, and supporting records
• Work with customers, lenders, finance managers, accounting personnel, and government agencies
• Follow all dealership, state, and federal compliance requirements
• Assist the accounting department with related administrative duties as needed

Required Qualifications

• Previous title clerk experience in an automotive dealership
• Working knowledge of vehicle title and registration procedures
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
• Excellent organization and time-management skills
• Ability to manage multiple transactions and meet firm deadlines
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency with dealership management systems and Microsoft Office
• Ability to handle confidential customer and dealership information professionally
• Dependable attendance and a team-oriented attitude

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience processing vehicle titles and registrations in Texas
• Familiarity with dealership accounting and title schedules
• Experience with [insert DMS name, if desired]
